Parramatta. Relocation of parking stations

Parramatta City Council plans to relocate a total of 1339 parking spaces in its Horwood Place and Erby Place multi-storey carparking stations, in 2012/13, to allow for redevelopment projects. It plans to build multi-storey stations in Fennel and Macquarie streets currently accommodating 126 and 197 spaces respectively. Council will retain the Wentworth (1163 spaces) and Hunter (550 spaces) street stations. The total number of car spaces in the CBD is 9340, of which council controls 40.4 per cent. Westfield, with 4650 spaces, accounts for 83.6 per cent to the spaces in private hands.
