CBD properties on the market

The freestanding, 1740-square-metre, 5-level office block, at 10 Phillip Street, is up for auction on April 3. The building is leased to Huxley Homes at $468,832 per annum net. The Parramatta LEP 2007 allows for a mixed-use building on the site up to 80 metres; the FSR is 6:1. A 7-storey building on Macquarie, Charles and Union streets, in the eastern part of the CBD, is for sale. The estimated potential net income when fully leased is $1.4 million. The total site area is 2230 square metres with a net lettable area of 5392 square metres. Parking for 164 cars. The LEP allows the potential building height to 72 metres, with a FSR of 6:1. Colliers International is the agent.

Heritage Office merger

The Heritage Office, based in Parramatta, is to be folded into the Department of Planning in a move critics fear could seriously undermine protection of heritage buildings and sites in NSW, according to The Sydney Morning Herald. The Heritage Office, which supports the Heritage Council, also based in Parramatta, will continue to function as a statutory body advising the Minister for Planning, Frank Sartor.

DAs lodged with council

A DA has been lodged with Parramatta City Council for the construction of a cooling tower to provide cooling water to service the Basell Polypropleyne Plant, at Shell’s Clyde refinery. The estimated cost of construction is $5 million. Mirvac Funds Limited has lodged a DA for the fit out of the basement of the Sebel Hotel form use as an office. Estimated cost of construction is $100,000
