New ticketing hardware system installed

A new improved ticketing hardware system costing in the order of $200,000, has been installed at Riverside Theatres to handle more than $3 million worth of tickets sold annually after a near failure of the old system. Some 33,073 patrons attended 197 performances and events in the September 2007 quarter. The performances included Riverside's own production of King Lear and the Big Notes series featuring the Sydney Children's Choir, Jane Rutter, Simon Tedeschi and the SBS Youth Orchestra.

Final touches to a new footpath and other works on the Parramatta River foreshore outside the Riverside Theatres are being made in readiness for the venue's 20th anniversary which will be celebrated with a concert on March 15.
